9/11 Remembrance Ceremony in Tavares Florida at the Historic Courthouse

The Community of Tavares FL will join the nation as we mark the passage of two decades since 9/11; the day that changed our lives forever. Never Forget Patriot Day, officially known as National Day of Service and Remembrance, is observed every September 11th to honor the memory of the nearly 3,000 innocent people who lost their lives because of the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001.

September 11, 2021 is the 20th Anniversary of that horrific day. Please join us for this commemorative ceremony as we honor the victims of 9/11 and as we honor our firefighters, police officers, EMS, and military who have dedicated their lives to protect our freedoms and liberties. First responders of and from cities within Lake County FL will come together to form a memorial procession on Main Street between S Joanna Ave and S Sinclair Ave in downtown Tavares. A bell will be rung for each life that was lost on 9/11. Special guest speakers to be announced.

Lunch at a Patriotic Restaurant in Tavares

Be sure to stop by one of our patriotic restaurants in downtown Tavares after the ceremony. One of my favorites is Puddle Jumpers, we patronize this establishment because of the good eats and dedication from the owners to freedom and first responders. The staff is amazing, and the bartenders know how to pour a drink!
